Beauty Review - Shilpa's Hair & Beauty - 99p Threading

After witnessing what could only be described as a "Soap Opera in a Coffee Shop in Tooting" I made my way up to my usual spot to get my eyebrows threaded. Now there's no appointment at this place, but the lady I see comes in at a certain time and we usually have it where I come in as soon as she does before it gets too busy.

I get a phone call as I'm on my way to say that she's running very late so I agree to come in after work on Sat, no big deal as she's nice and reliable.

After reading about Miss Virtue's discovery of the 99p Threading a few months back - I find myself intrigued at the quality of the shop, staff and experience.

In this time of recession and such I wondered whether it would be a case of budget quality. Especially for under a quid.

As soon as I walked in, I was very impressed. The place was clean and inviting and the ladies there although busy found the time to greet me and was told to take a seat.

After waiting a few minutes, I sat down and the girl went about threading. It wasn't anywhere near as painful as the woman I go to in Walworth Road when I can't make it down to Tooting, nor was it as rushed.

She asked about my rogue eyebrow and suggested something to help it grow properly. I've never in my 8 years of threading experiences been advised on looking after my brows. Was over in around three minutes. Looks as good as my usual £5 job too. I feel I got more than what I paid for, which pleases me no end.

As I went to pay my big 99p I was given a 50% off voucher for their salon next door which will be offering an array of hair & beauty treatments when they launch next week.

Will definitely be going back, and will see if I can get there next week for a massage when they launch the salon.

For the shop, staff and experience, its 5 out of 5 wings.
